Thomas
J. Klutznick, President
Mr. Klutznick founded Thomas J. Klutznick Company, a privately held
real-estate investment and development firm with offices in Chicago
and Denver, in 1991.
Prior
to that he was co-managing partner of Miller-Klutznick-Davis-Gray
Co. (MKDG), a national real-estate investment and development company
with a portfolio of properties valued at approximately $2.5 billion.
Included in the company's holdings were two of the nation's premier
resort companies - Pebble Beach Company in California and Aspen Skiing
Company in Colorado. Mr. Klutznick was responsible for the day-to-day
operations of both companies and played a leading roll in the planning
and development of a new lodging-golf-residential complex - The Inn
and Links at Spanish Bay - at Pebble Beach, and a new hotel - The
Little Nell - at Aspen.
Also
under his direction, MKDG developed Fox Plaza, an office tower and
hotel complex on the Twentieth Century-Fox Film Corporation studio
lot in Los Angeles' Century City. In Boston's Financial District,
the company combined a 21-story Art Deco landmark with a new 31-story
post-modern building to form 75-101 Federal Street. And in Chicago,
MKDG was co-developer of 515 North State Street, the 600,000-square-foot
headquarters of the American Medical Association and the first U.S.
commission for renowned Japanese architect Kenzo Tange.
