Current
development projects:
- CityNorth,
a 5 million-square-foot, mixed-use environment to be built on 144
acres, is the urban core and major regional center for the Northeast
Valley of Phoenix. The project offers the opportunity to create
an interactive lifestyle with an exciting mix of retail, restaurant,
residential, hotel, office, cultural, civic, entertainment and fitness
uses. With areas of high and low density and buildings layered with
uses, CityNorth will be far more than a “lifestyle center”.
It has been planned to incorporate and encourage all the best aspects
of city living: excitement, authenticity, public and private spaces,
evolution, varied architectural styles, a sense of unexpectedness,
movement, spontaneity, refreshment. For more information please

- Master Developer
of Desert Ridge, a
5,700-acre new community in Phoenix's Northeast Valley that upon
completion will include in excess of 50,000 residents, a commercial
center of regional economic importance, a destination resort and
a high-tech business park. At present, Desert Ridge has a population
of some 6,000 persons. Already in place in the community, in addition
to several residential neighborhoods, are Wildfire Golf Club, including
an 18-hole, desert-style, championship course designed by Arnold
Palmer's golf course design firm; a five story, 178-bed Mayo Clinic
Hospital; a $400-million Sumitomo Sitix computer chip manufacturing
facility; The Marketplace at Desert Ridge, a shopping-dining-entertainment
venue that is the first phase of a 320-acre Village Center; and
J.W. Marriott's Desert Ridge Resort and Spa, which includes a second
18-hole, Nick Faldo designed, championship-length golf course and
a 950-room hotel - the largest in Arizona. The $300 million resort
opened in the fall of 2002.
